Lani Watson @ Lost Lake Lounge 2.5.26
Ladie's night takes over lost lake
Ladies Night took over Lost Lake Lounge on February 5th. The Valentine’s Disco theme set the vibe immediately — heart-shaped glasses, glitter, and outfits built to catch the disco ball. But the energy went deeper than dress code. The room belonged to the women in it. Loud, supportive, and completely comfortable taking up space.
The night kicked off with Lilliana Roccaforte, her friends and family cheering her on from the start. It wasn’t a quiet opener—it was a full-on we’re here for our girl moment. Their enthusiasm set the tone, giving her an extra spark that spilled into the room. Each note landed with warmth and playfulness, and the room was locked in with her. She smiled at every shout and laugh, feeding off the support around her, and that feeling carried through the rest of the night.
Katrina Leibee stepped out in a No Kings shirt, adding a subtle edge to the night's sparkle. Piano and violin wove through her songs, giving them an added texture, while the roses she handed out to the ladies in the audience added a playful and deliberate touch. Hints of protest threaded quietly through the music, balanced with the confident, playful energy she carried, made the performance unmistakably hers. Katrina’s set faded, but the mischievous girlhood energy stayed in the room.
Lani Watson stepped in, leaning fully into a girly-pop, Valentine’s-disco headlining set that was playful but still sharp. Her songs were pop-forward with a touch of funk underneath, giving the set a bounce that kept the room moving. Midway through, she landed on a blunt “fuck ICE,” and the crowd rallied with her, a surge of collective cheer that felt both defiant and uplifting. The music slid back into its shimmer, light, fun, and full of movement, leaving everyone laughing, dancing, and caught up in the energy of the night together. Watson has been steadily carving out her space in the scene, releasing singles that showcase her knack for balancing memorable hooks and catchy, danceable melodies. Her set here was another sign that she’s not just a performer to watch, she’s one who’s steadily shaping her own space.
The night was a mix of sparkle, funk, and mischief that carried from start to finish, a space where women cheered each other on, danced together, and owned every moment. The music, the laughter, and flashes of defiance blended seamlessly.
